Abstract

Structure and function is a frame work for building theory which sees the society as complex system whose parts works together to promote solidarity and stability. This gives shape to institutions such as; families, organization, Government etc. Each structure has social functions or consequences for operation as a whole in the society. The functions like; cleaning, sanitation, drinking water, transportation, law and order, first aid and health etc. are various functions being performed by various structural bodies like; mela management committee, police, municipal committee etc.
