Abstract
Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) is an international agreement between the member nations of World Trade Organization (WTO). The TRIPS Agreement is aimed at harmonizing the Intellectual Property and related laws and regulations worldwide. The TRIPS Agreement the pieces this motive by setting minimum standards for protection of various forms of IP. The nations that is signatory to the TRIPS Agreement has to abide by these minimum standards in their national laws related to IP. The coverage of the TRIPS Agreement encompasses the different areas of IP intellectual property including patents, trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications, industrial designs, etc.
