Abstract

Classical sociological theories are treasure house of abstract propositions, axioms and meaningful hypotheses, which in their scope encompasses several sub disciplines within sociology. Each sub discipline in its formative stage looks back at classical sociological theories and seeks whether the ideas of founding fathers recognized the interfaces between society and subject matter of new sub discipline. Though, Environmental sociology is no exception to this, it differed from others in the sense that it questioned the foundational aspects of sociological theory.
