CONCEPT OF ETHICAL AWARENESS IN ARUN JOSHI’S NOVELS

Abstract

No critic worth the name has made a full length study of one important ingredient of Arun Joshi’s novels, viz. the emergence of ethical awareness in face of the chaotic’ condition of life its social context to live life meaningfully. There is a constant longing in a protagonist of Joshi to attain moral consciousness that leads him towards righteousness, justice, truth, action, love and service of humanity. Having achieved the moral enlightenment, the hero realizes his social responsibilities.
