WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH POLITITICAL PARTICIPATION

Abstract

Women empowerment is not a myth. It is a process which includes the realization of women themselves for ‘giving power to’,’ creating power within ‘and enabling’. So it is now a reality and need of the hour. The below article deals with the issue of women empowerment trough political participation in India in particular with perspective on role of political parties, impact of 73rd constitutional amendment and constitutional protection for political empowerment
