Abstract

सामान्य तौर पर बहुसंस्कृतिवाद का अर्थ विभिन्न प्रकार की संस्कृति के लोगों का एक साथ किसी निश्चित राजनैतिक और भौगोलिक सीमा के भीतर निवास करने के संदर्भ में लिया जाता है। परन्तु सै(ान्तिक तौर पर इसका अर्थ कापफी विस्तृत है और इसके साथ ही जुड़े विभिन्न मुद्दे जैसे अध्किारों की मांग, समानता आदि समकालीन समय में कापफी महत्व रखते हैं। भारतीय समाज एक बहुसंास्कृतिक समाज है जिस कारण सम्बन्ध्ति संस्कृतियों के मुद्दे, विवादों और असंतोष का रूप भी धरण कर लेते हैं। अतः लोकतंत्रा की सपफलता हेतू विभिन्न संस्कृतियों के मध्य आपसी सहयोग और अध्किारों का विस्तार करना चाहिए ताकि सामूहिक रूप में समाज के सभी तबकों का विकास हो सके। बहुसंस्कृतिवाद की अवधरणा को समझना अति आवश्यक है क्योंकि ऐसे करने से समाज में मौजूद आपसी विरोध्ी तत्वों को समझा और समाप्त किया जा सकता है।
