Abstract

This paper attempts to study the effect of social group on the education expenditure of children in the age group 6-10 in rural India based on the data available on participation and expenditure in the 64th round of NSSO. Quality education is really important for decent wages which in turn lead to sustaining a happy life, and the path to attaining it starts off with elementary education. Keeping this in mind, in 2000 , nations all over the world (189 in total) committed themselves to ensuring that children everywhere , boys and girls alike, be able to complete a full course of primary schooling.
