Abstract

Uttarakhand is a newly established hilly state in northern part of india. The southern part of the state encompassing the district of Dehradun, Haridwar, Udhamsingh nagar and some part of Nainital are highest in density of population than rest of hilly districts. Most part of the hilly district is remote and away from basic amenities. Education and literacy are also adversely affected due to the tough geographical situations as access of education managing resource development and stay of teachers and supportive employees. The Educatonal scenario of the state is as under.
