ADHE-ADHURE: A SEARCH FOR A COMPLETE MAN

Abstract

Adhe-Adhure is a very famous drama that skillfully presented man-woman relationship with greater altitude and courage in the field of literature which is written by Mohan Rakesh, a renowned short story writer, play writer and Novelist. The drama is written in Hindi in original and published in 1969. But later it is translated in many Indian languages including English. Many social problems are presented and discussed by the play writer, Mohan Rakesh in this drama besides man-woman relationship such as personal problems, frustration, collapse of traditional values, moral values and sexual relationship. He also presented all these problems into his short stories and novels because he is rebellion by birth and by nature therefore he transmitted his rebelliousness into his creation.
