Abstract

This paper seeks to highlight the role of news paper in focusing domestic violence. The domestic violence act 2005 which came in to force is known to those people who are associated in the domain of judicial system. There are many domestic violence cases happens every day in India, but remain unreported. In Indian social structure, culture of silence and social ostracism are foremost challenges in reporting the domestic violence cases. The present study illustrates the situation in South Assam.
