A STUDY OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION IN RELATION TO ADJUSTMENT AT SECONDARY LEVEL

Abstract

The main aim of the present study was to explore the relative contribution of achievement motivation among adjustment of high school students. The sample consisted of 200 students (100 boys and 100 girls of high school of Ghaziabad district). There is no significant difference between adjusted boys and maladjusted boys, between adjusted girls and maladjusted girls, between adjusted boys and adjusted girls and there is no significant difference between maladjusted boys and maladjusted girls. The collection of data was based on Saxena Adjustment Inventory and Self made Achievement Motivation Test. The statistical technique used were Mean, Standard Deviation and t-value and calculated accordingly. The findings of the study revealed that the adjusted boys and adjusted girls don’t differ significantly and the maladjusted boys and maladjusted girls don’t differ significantly.
