PERFORMANCE OF NATIONAL LEVEL BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN SET SHOT AND EFFECT OF SELECTED KINEMATIC VARIABLES

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between kinematic variables and the performance of national level basketball players in Set Shot. The subjects for this study were 48 male basketball players who had represented there respective states in Guwahati National Games, 2007 in Basketball tournaments. Four teams were selected for this study namely: Assam, Chattisgarh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu (12 subjects from each team).There age ranged from eighteen to twenty seven years. All the subjects were right handed shooters.
