Abstract

In order to have smooth transactions in business specially in banking sector, plastic money is in great use. People prefer plastic money in the form of various cards than paper money. Though people have stated using plastic money but heir percentage is very low. So awareness need to be created amongst people. Even banks are encouraging people to indulge themselves into the use plastic money. There has been a great shift from paper to plastic money transactions. In this paper an attempt has been made to study the “Impact of plastic money on banking trends”, with special reference to UCO Bank, Tinsukia”. Also in this paper the researcher has tried to find out the benefits and problems associated with the use of plastics money. After the field survey it was found out that though there numerous benefits attached with the plastic money yet people need to take care of certain precautions to be on a safer side.
