Abstract

In the modern era, the scope and relevance of Quality of Work Life (QWL) have improved tremendously. The definition and nature of the term QWL are pronounced by several persons and thinkers. In general, QWL is the degree of satisfaction and contentedness an employee experiences from his working environment. Many studies have been conducted relating to this idea and still there are many studies going on. Since the human resource in the organisation is considered to be the most valuable asset, it is necessary to treat the asset in a better way. For making the employees more satisfied and loyal towards the organisation, the management should work upon it. This research paper is an attempt to analyse the various studies conducted relating to this concept. The main purpose is to provide an outlook and the significance of QWL in this technological era.
