A STUDY ON ACCEPTANCE OF SOCIAL CHANGE AMONG UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL MISHING STUDENTS IN LAKHIMPUR DISTRICT, ASSAM

Abstract

This study is conducted to clarify influence of social change among undergraduate level Mishing students in Lakhimpur district. For this purpose, a five dimensional social change scale viz. Education, Environment, Health & hygiene, Human rights and Political issues have been used as tool of data collection considering area as well as gender. There is 662 (30% from population) undergraduate level Mishing students’ selected using stratified random sampling technique from six community development blocks. From each of the block, at least 5% students selected for avoiding random bias of the study. Analysis and interpretation of data has been done using statistical technique frequency, percentage, mean score, standard deviation, and standard error of mean. Apart from it, Statistical Package of Social Science software version has been applied for data analyze.
