Abstract

Despite a notable divergence in their methods to bring about the human welfare, bothAmbedkar and Sen share an unshakable concern for including the excluded. This paper seeks to unravel the link between the two exponents of exclusion theory, and posit Ambedkar as a forerunner of social exclusion approach to which Sen came later to broaden it with his idea of capability enhancement.
