Abstract

Vultures are the world’s well trained scavengers and they provide an array of ecological, economic, cultural services. They have unique adaptability to a scavenging lifestyle. Presently 14 of 23 vulture species worldwide are on verge of extinction.The vulture population is dangerously dropped in India. In nineties their population is more than 35 million.
