CHANGING ROLE OF RURAL WOMEN – A STUDY OF EIGHT SELECTED VILLAGES OF RAMANAGARA DISTRICT

Abstract

Not only rural scenario is under transmission but also the role of women is transforming. The role of present day women in rural area is not just restricted to take care of the family. Women are taking care of financial issues and she is also part of decision making process of a family. Female literacy is increasing and the reason behind female literacy is very curious. More than all these, women is in the position to lead the family. This field study is conducted in eight selected villages of Ramanagara district of Karnataka state located in southern part of India.
