Abstract

Success of any organisation depends on the amount of quality employees working in a highly competitive environment. These employees are the backbone of any organisation. Retaining these talents is a very important and critical task for any organisation. For any organisation to survive in a very competitive environment, they need to design effective human resource (HR) practices that encourage the high performance of employees.This paper critically examines the effect of HRM practices on retaining employees on the basis of past research.
