Abstract

The Financial service sector has given the individual investor wide range of products to invest. Demographic variables plays vital role in the financial markets. The investment decision of the individuals are greatly influenced by the demographic factors like age, gender and income as well as various other factors like liquidity, safety and marketability. The present study has been mainly made to know and understand factors influencing the investment decisions of individual investors. The study has tried to collect the literature from worldwide relating to investment pattern of individual investors. The relevant research papers have been collected from various referred journals relating to the investment pattern. The study has tried to explain the influence of various factors on investment pattern of investors throughout the country.
