SELF CONFIDENCE OF B.ED. TEACHERS’ AND THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION

Abstract

Teachers are the nation builders, having confidence and optimistic attitude can improve their overall effectiveness which is the primary need of quality education. To cope with the new challenges in the field of education every teacher needs a confidence boost from time to time, and a teacher should make constructive changes in his/her attitude towards teaching to boost self confidence. B.Ed. teachers’ attitude towards teaching affects the self confidence of teachers and vice-versa. A teacher has a great responsibility on his shoulders, so a teacher’s attitude towards teaching and self confidence can make a significant impact on the learner and the learning environment. Self confidence and optimistic attitude towards teaching profession can help in better learning. So, the educationists and policy makers should try to provide teachers’ that type of environment which helps to boost their self confidence and to develop positive attitude towards teaching. Thus, present paper explores the most important aspect i.e. the self confidence and attitude towards teaching profession of B. Ed. students.
