AYURVEDIC MEDICINE AND ONLINE MARKETING : A REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Abstract

Allopathic medicines are the main stay in the current pharmacotherapy. However, growing tendency towards the use of alternative systems of medicines through application of modern scientific methods has also been in practice. In India, the wide spread use of Ayurvedic medicines as a traditional system of medicine and growing online marketing raises concerns relating to its effectiveness and safety . The term Ayus means duration or span of life, veda means unimpeachable knowledge. Self-medication is another concern which is usually influenced by advertising , availability medicine and faith in safety of medication. The paper discusses various studies on use of Ayurvedic medicines , regulations and online marketing .
