AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PRACTICES IN INDIA

Abstract

Corporate Governance is the system by which business corporations are directed and controlled . the Corporate Governance structure specified the distribution of rights and responsibilities among different participants in the corporation such as members, boards, shareholders and stakeholders, and spellsout the rules and procedures or making decisions on corporate affairs. By doing this, it also provides the structure through which the company objectives are set,and the means of attaining those objectives and monitoring performance.A company commited to good governance has well defined and protected shareholders rights , a solid control environment, high level transparency , discloser and an empowered board . The interests of the company and those of all shareholders are aligned.
