Abstract

RFID is rapidly growing technology .RFID (Radio frequency identification ) is a technology that facilitates non line of sight identifications of items .RFID helps in stock management, improve patron services, provide more security of items. It reduces the amount of time required to issue, receive, sort & shelve library materials. RFID can prove to be very efficient when compared to traditional bar codes. This paper explains products for RFID library project and its working in the library. RFID is a sustainable system and it offers a new application in libraries and increases the goodwill of institution in the globe.
