TRENDS IN EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT AMONG THE SCHEDULED TRIBE WOMEN IN INDIA

Abstract

On the basis of secondary data, gained from documents and reports of the government, this paper evaluates the trends in educational attainment among Scheduled Tribes women. Though, enrolment of ST women has been increased many fold at all level of education over the period of time but still very low absolutely and relatively especially at higher education stage. Gender gap has also been shrinking at every stage of education among ST as well as among all students. The paper is to analyses deeply the trends of education among them.
