Abstract

With a view to developing quality education in India, the Ministry of Human Resource Development after making many constructive efforts came out with a proposed NEP-2019. The draft was originally designed by the corporate team however it has a mixed ideas and reflections over it. The proposed policy ensures the rigorous practices and processes for the quality education. The teacher education has recently undergone with a major change of Two years B.Ed. Course however, looking at the quality of the teachers even after pursuing Two years B.Ed. course remains the same. As a result the new education policy for the teachers brought systematic and constructive recruitment process for teachers. The papers talks about the changes that NEP has brought. The NEP is comprehensive and detailed for the teacher education as it presents almost all the issues and challenges of school and teacher education colleges. The aim must be for India to have an education system by 2030 with access to the highest quality education for all learners regardless of circumstances of birth or background to achieve this, actions must be taken now and urgently.
