Abstract

Tourism is a profitable market for attracting visitors, and for spending money on tourists. Most service industry sectors such as transportation services, hospitality services, and entertainment play a vital role in the growth of tourism. People usually take holidays to take a break from their regular monotonous lives. For some, the best kind of holiday is to be looked after in luxury. For some, it means broadening their horizons through some new experiences or education. But for many, the best kind of holiday is the one that brings a sense of adventure. In India, there are provisions for different forms of adventures. The vast natural wealth of the country is primarily responsible for the augmentation of adventure tourism. Adventure tourism has a vast scope in India. India have different type of adventure sports like Land-based, Water based, Aero. The northern and north-eastern parts of the country are covered by Himalayan range, the western, southern and eastern parts of the country surrounded by the Southern Ocean, the hind ocean and the Bay of Bengal. The known and unknown faces of India have been admired for its natural beauty since long, where it is possible to get unique and unforgettable outdoor experiences. In this paper we just study about of adventure tourism in India
