Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the effect ofvariables like gender, area and I.Q. on Mathematical Creativity of upper primary schools pupils. The objective of this research is to examine if a relationship exists between Mathematical Creativity and area and if the relationship differs between boys and girls of upper primary school having high and low I.Q. It was essential to develop a test for measuring Mathematical Creativity. Population of the study was upper primary school pupils of the Gujarat state. For the sampling technique researchers used stratified random sampling and selected 5478 pupils. The researcher has administered the Mathematical Creativity test and I.Q. test and collected the data. For data analysis used parametric t-test and got findings. There is significant difference in the mean score of Mathematical Creativity of urban upper primary school boys having high and low I.Q. There is significant difference in the mean score of Mathematical Creativity of urban upper primary school girls having high and low I.Q. There is significant difference in the mean score of Mathematical Creativity of rural upper primary school boys having high and low I.Q. There is significant difference in the mean score of Mathematical Creativity of rural upper primary school girls having high and low I.Q.
