IMPACT OF MOTHERS EDUCATION IN DEVELOPING SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THEIR ADOLESCENCE

Abstract

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Best motherhood emerges from best education and best education constructs mothers to give a better economic life and educational experience to their children, which finally helps in the development of social intelligence in children. Educated mothers are capable of deal in with the social and emotional problems of adolescents because they have more social intelligence and know more about the social and emotional crises that may occur during childhood and adolescence and how they affect the development of social intelligence of adolescence. Emotionally, children stay more close to their mothers and they stays with their children almost all the time and their instructions have a very strong influence on the attitudes, abilities and behaviour of their children. Education boosts mothers’ skill of rearing children and enlightens them with knowledge of guiding children in the right direction during emotional crisis. Mothers’ education has positive impacts on social intelligence of adolescents. Social Intelligence is an aggregated measure of self and social awareness, evolved social beliefs and attitudes, and a capacity to manage complex social changes. Mothers play an important role in the all –round development of the child. This study examines the impact of mothers’ education in developing social intelligence in their children. The study was conducted in Thrissur district in Kerala state, India. Scholar selected a few high schools from rural s impact on adolescence the Social Intelligence of the adolesence. The results revealed that statistically significant differences observed between maternal education and social intelligence of adolescence.
