Abstract

Teaching is a mission to enlighten the pupils and to make them efficient in life situations. Without a doubt, the teaching fraternity has a great role in upbringing a good citizen. The teacher has greater responsibility in carrying out the task of teaching a language. Though Mark Twain once remarked ‘it is the classmates who really educate the child’, but the role of teacher is, by no mean, less. The Advance Organizer Model to teach a subject is quite effective. A sample of 100 students from Saini School, Rewari was selected to study the effectiveness of Advance Organizer Model to teach Hindi Grammar. it was found that the Advance Organizer Model (AOM) of teaching is more effective than the traditional method. Students learn more by teaching through AOM as their achievement shows and difference in achievement does not depend upon sex.
