Abstract

Developing countries as well as developed countries face a Global phenomenon of business failure. Business failure is inseparable in doing any business. But the rate of business failure is higher in developing economy when compared with developed economy. It is hard to find the exact reason for corporate bankruptcy as they are different across different countries due to its dissimilarities in social, political and economic environment and also in its accounting practices and diverse capital structure. In this research paper, the Altman Emerging Markets Model is used to understand the financial distress position of companies in the developing economy beforehand which are listed in BSE-100
