In our daily routine activities, we have to do tasks of varied nature, and successful completion on these tasks is highly dependent on our ability to make accurate shift from one task to another. Indirectly, it is an individual’s switching ability that determines his/her success/failure on tasks. Individual differences exist on this ability. Some individuals may switch easily and make less errors, while others have difficulty in switching, so, as a result, they have more costs (i.e. in terms of more time and more error). Strategies used for reducing switch costs may have implications in educational curriculum, in industry and in our day to day activities also.
