Abstract

It is well known that the secondary market for debt is not as efficient as the stock markets in India and efforts have been made to develop the secondary debt market, through the introduction of both regulatory measures and innovative products. Notwithstanding with the deregulation process initiated by RBI and several innovation, the Indian money market is not free from rigidities which are hampering the growth of market. The secondary debt market in India is practically non-existent. This paper argues that
