Abstract

Abstract: the present paper deals with the application of econometric techniques such as SFA, DEA etc., in the measurement of productivity of India’s manufacturing sector using the panel data. It also focuses on the data sources, variables of interest and their measurement issues and finally the challenges to the researchers in the field.
