HIGHER EDUCATION AMONG DIFFERENT SOCIAL GROUPS

Abstract

This article consists of five sections. The second section deals about growth and development of higher education in India. The third section analyses of women in higher education. The fourth section analyses the Scheduled Caste in higher education and the last section ends with the concluding observations. I Introduction It is widely believed that the acquisition of education and other skills leads to increase of productivity and income sources, which will improve the living conditions of people/community. In other words, acquisition of education and other trainings play an important role in the labour market and also it will pave the way to get an employment opportunity in the secondary and service sector sectors that will lead to economic transformation of the people/community. Poor endowment of human resource development is the basic hindrance for the economic transformation of the country/community.
