INDIA'S ENERGY SECURITY & PIPELINE POLITICS

Abstract

India is an emerging economic power with 1.21 billion populous country after China. Being fourthlargest energy consumer in the world after USA, China and Russia India's energy demand continue torise. As vehicle ownership expands, petroleum demand in the transport sector is expected to grow in the coming years. While India's domestic energy resource base is substantial, the country relies on imports 1for a considerable amount of its energy use. India need urgent energy security for domestic and foreignpolicy reasons.
