Haider is a 2014 tragic drama film starring. Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, Key-Key Menon, Irfan Khan and Shardha Kapoor. It was directed by renowned Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj. This film is based on one of the greatest tragedies by the greatest William Shakespeare, titled Hamlet, Prince of Denmark Haider is the third installment of Bhardwaj’s Shakespearean trilogy after Maqbool (2003) and Omkara (2006). This is a tragic story which includes murder, revenge, conspiracy, love for power, politics. Haider has been presented with Indian fusion, set amidst the insurgency hit Kashmir conflicts of 1995 and civilian disappearances. Haider, a young student who loves writing poetry, returns to Kashmir at the height of conflict to seek answers about his father’s disappearance and ends up being tugged into the state politics.
