Abstract

Today’s world is characterized by unprecedented urban growth. Such development presents a range of opportunities and various stresses to the health of urban population. In recent decade the urban population has increased very rapidly, and consequently slum population is also increasing in metropolitan cities. In the past decade, slums in developing nations have gained greater attention throughout the world and have been recognized as a key challenge of urbanization (UN-HABITAT, 2006). Un- availability of health facilities and vulnerable location makes slum a horrible place.
