Abstract

The main objective of the present study was to find out the relationship between Problem Solving Ability and Self Confidence of Adolescents. To achieve this objective, Problem Solving Ability Scale (PSAS) by L.N. Dubey (2010) and Self Confidence Inventory by M. Basavanna (1975) were used. The sample consisted of 150 students of 10+2 class of Government Senior Secondary Schools selected randomly from Moga District of Punjab, India. The sample was equally categorized between Boys- Girls and Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The results revealed that there exists significant relationship between Problem Solving Ability and Self Confidence of 10+2 class students of Government Senior Secondary Schools. It means that Self Confidence affects the Problem Solving Ability of 10+2 class students of Government Senior Secondary Schools. If students have greater Self Confidence then their Problem Solving Ability will be high. Keywords: Problem, Ability, Self, Confidence, Problem Solving Ability, Self Confidence, Adolescents
