STUDY OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENT’S AWARENESS OF DISASTER MANAGEMENT- CASE STUDY INDORE CITY.

Abstract

This paper research study on disaster awareness, in this context, it is essential to analyze the awareness about natural disasters and the management of disasters among the students of higher education. An 11 item questionnaire was administered among the University, Colleges and their answers were analyzed and computed. The study involve 100 girls and 80 boys of university of Indore. The sample drawn from across different department of university affiliated collage in the city. The data collected were analyzed using independent T-test using mean score standard deviation, P-value. The finding of study showed that the major constraint of awareness of personal injuries, damages and loss of life, lack of encouragement of disaster preparedness in family and educated society. This study shows that the awareness about disaster management should be improved among the higher education.
