Abstract

Spirituality is the aspect of humanity that refers to the way individuals seek and express meaning and purpose and the way they experience their connectedness to the moment, to self, to others, to nature, and to the significant or sacred. “Spirit” comes from the Latin word “spiritus”, which means “soul, courage, vigor, breath”. It is less to do with rules and order, and more to do with meaning, purpose and a sense of community. Our role in life has a greater value than just what we do every day and it separate a person from dependence on material things and establish a greater purpose.
