Abstract

Women Empowerment is most vital system to strengthen the future of women in India. It is a systematic approach which needs to be developed more seriously in India. The Constitution of India grants equality to women in various fields of life. Yet a large number of women are either ill equipped or not in a position to propel themselves out of their traditionally, unsatisfactory socio-economic condition. Empowerment would not hold any meaning unless they are made strong, alert and aware of their equal status in the society. The Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have put in intervention strategies in various ways and to various ends – the greatest of which is to empower the women and give them a voice and improve their lives.
