Abstract

In present investigation by survey at different sites the municipal solid waste management assessment at present situation has been done in Faizabad district. The physical and chemical quality and quality of MSW differ from place to place and having a rather consistent correlation with average living standard. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of physic-chemical composition at disposal site the field study were carried out studies that carried out from different sites revealed that there were many demerits in the management of municipal solid waste these demerits mainly occur due to insufficient amount of manpower, machines which are required for management of MSW, financial resource were also not sufficient for management, different adopted treatment technology for MSW are analyzed along with their merit and demerits the investigation give some useful idea which may be advantageous to encourage the improvement of present system of management of solid waste.
