Abstract

The study examined the relationship between occupational stress and emotional intelligence of principals. A sample of 140 principals was randomly drawn from Senior Secondary Schools of Haryana. In order to fulfill the objectives of the study Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient was used. The result showed that there was significant negative relationship between occupational stress and emotional intelligence of principals. All the dimensions of occupational stress were negatively and significantly correlated with emotional intelligence. But the relationship between the dimension (Responsibility) and emotional intelligence was very low but significant.
