Abstract

Under planned economic development the essential impediment in the rural area are education, medical facilities, banking, telephone, veterinary, electricity, metal led road and potable water. The equitable distribution of these services promotes economic growth, social equity and quality of rural socio-economic environment. That is why the basic socio-economic services for rural masses have been taken as the constitutional goat. This paper examines the existing geographic distribution of these facilities to identify functional gaps for locating additional growth centers. The quantitative as well as qualitative analysis of the regional distribution of these service centers, specially at major service centers, speaks about the skewed and political biased distribution.
